Your camera and microphone never leave your browser

This site tests your webcam and microphone entirely inside your browser using the standard getUserMedia API. The video and audio streams are used only to display a live preview and a live volume meter on your own screen. Nothing is recorded, saved, uploaded, or transmitted to us or to any third party at any point. When you close this tab or click "Stop test," the browser releases the camera and microphone immediately.

What we don't collect

• We do not record or store your video or audio.
• We do not require an account, email address, or any personal information to use the test.
• We do not use your camera or microphone for any purpose other than the on-screen preview and level meter you can see yourself.

Standard web data

Like most websites, this site's hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information for security and performance purposes — for example your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is common server behaviour and is not linked to your camera or microphone use.

Advertising

This site may display advertising served by third-party ad networks. Those networks may use cookies or similar technologies to show relevant ads. We don't control what those networks collect; if you'd like to opt out of personalised advertising, check the ad network's own privacy settings (for example, Google's Ads Settings) or use your browser's cookie controls.

Local storage

We use your browser's local storage only to remember your light/dark display preference on this device. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.
